I didn't set out to become a coach. I became one after living inside systems that never quite fit the way my mind worked. At 27, corporate life made something very clear: I was capable, but constantly compensating.
I was translating my thinking. Regulating my energy. Working harder to appear “together” in environments that rewarded linear execution over strategic intuition. On paper, I was succeeding. Internally, I was burning out. That experience didn’t break me, but it did wake me up.
The Diagnosis Wasn’t the Answer. Awareness Was.
Years later, an ADHD diagnosis didn’t tell me what was wrong with me, it revealed what had always been right.
It explained why I could see connections others missed, why intensity came naturally, and why forcing myself into conventional leadership molds came at a cost. I wasn’t broken. I was operating in systems that didn’t know how to work with my strengths. The real shift wasn’t the diagnosis itself. It was the awareness that followed.
When I began designing my leadership and business around how my nervous system actually functions, clarity replaced compensation and strategy finally stuck.
That insight didn’t come from a leadership book. It came from lived experience: when you ignore the nervous system, no strategy holds. When you design leadership around it, performance becomes sustainable.
